A full moon in a midnight sky~

We took our Verena Solitaire and married it with our Fluted Bangle.  To perfect the marriage we centered the design around a dynamic 2.19ct Australian Parti Sapphire from stone cutter John Dyer, in his "starbrite" cut.  The ring was, in fact, created with John's signature cut in mind.  The horizontal fluting is intended to extend the lines within the stone to the lines of the band.

The stone is predominantly dark teal with a pocket of yellow and navy accents.  The "starbrite" cut adds an extra dimension to the sapphire, refracting more light in the interior of the stone by way of its inverted facets.  It is set in 18k royal yellow gold which is characterized as being ever so slightly warmer than your standard 18k yellow gold.

Stone measures 6.35mm x 9.45mm.  The width of the band is 4.95mm at the setting and tapers to 2.2mm on the underside.  This ring is a size 7.
